Telephone consultation hour
The telephone consultation offers the opportunity to arrange appointments, to ask a midwife medical question or to clarify questions about the Delphys Brith Centre.
Messages on the answering machine are answered daily, including weekends and public holidays. Please always give your name and telephone number when leaving a voicemail.
When the birth starts, the woman or partner can reach the Birth Centre at any time using the pager number, which will be given during a prenatal check-up after the 36th week.
E-mails reach the Birth Centre team from Monday to Friday and will usually be answered within one or two working days.
The entire team endeavors to provide support in English and, where possible, in other languages. Individual midwives can also give advice in Italian, Portuguese, Danish, French or Spanish.
Arrival by car/bike and parking options
The Kalkbreite cooperative is car-free. The Delphys birthplace does not have permanent parking spaces for cars directly at the building.
However, there is enough space for a taxi or car to stop right in front of the door. (Badenerstrasse 177, yellow parking space)
For the birth, we recommend traveling by taxi. The accompanying person then does not have to concentrate on the traffic at this special moment. Otherwise, the Delphys birth center will provide parking spaces in a nearby underground car park.
For pregnancy examinations, events and postpartum stays, parking spaces in the blue zone are an option.
There are quite a lot of parking spaces available in the blue zone in the district. Unfortunately, they are often occupied.
If required, day parking tickets can be purchased at the Delphys office for CHF 15.
Bicycle parking spaces are available near the front door.
Access by public transport
The bus and tram stop Kalkbreite/Wiedikon train station is right in front of the door. (Tram 2 + 3, Bus 32)
